About Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX)

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, known as ADX, is the stock exchange of Abu Dhabi. It was established in 2000 and has grown into one of the largest exchanges in the Arab world by market capitalisation.

ADX is home to many of the UAE's biggest listed companies, including International Holding Company, First Abu Dhabi Bank, ADNOC Gas, ADNOC Distribution, Aldar Properties, e&, TAQA and others.

A wave of listings in recent years, particularly of ADNOC subsidiaries and companies linked to Abu Dhabi's holding groups, has significantly increased the exchange's size and liquidity.

The exchange offers trading in shares, bonds, exchange-traded funds and other instruments, and it has launched a growth market for smaller companies.

ADX is owned by ADQ, the Abu Dhabi sovereign investor, as part of its portfolio of strategic assets.

Investors from the UAE and abroad can trade on ADX through licensed brokers, and foreign ownership limits have been eased for many companies to attract international investors.
