Dubai free zone and commodities hub based in Jumeirah Lakes Towers

About DMCC

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, known as DMCC, is a free zone and government authority set up in 2002 to promote commodities trade through Dubai. It has grown into one of the largest free zones in the world by number of companies.

DMCC is based in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a district of residential and office towers around artificial lakes, and it is developing Uptown Dubai as a new business district.

Commodities remain central to its identity. DMCC has built infrastructure and services for trading gold, diamonds, tea, coffee and other goods, including the Dubai Diamond Exchange and facilities for precious metals.

Beyond commodities, DMCC licenses companies across many sectors, including technology, crypto and blockchain, gaming, financial services, consultancy and trading. Its Crypto Centre and other clusters have attracted companies in emerging industries.

Free zone companies can be fully foreign-owned and benefit from simple setup procedures, which has made DMCC popular with startups and international firms.

DMCC also runs community events, accelerator programmes and partnerships to support companies in its zone.

Startups UAE lists DMCC among Dubai's leading free zones.
