About Dubai CommerCity
Dubai CommerCity is a free zone in Dubai dedicated to e-commerce. It was developed as a joint venture between Dubai Airport Freezone Authority and Wasl Asset Management, and it is located near Dubai International Airport.
The free zone is designed for online businesses, from small e-commerce startups to large international retailers. It offers business licences, office space and logistics facilities in one location.
Its logistics zone provides warehouses and fulfilment centres, so companies can store products, process orders and ship them to customers in the UAE and across the region.
Being close to the airport allows fast shipping of goods, which is important for cross-border e-commerce.
E-commerce in the UAE and the wider Gulf has grown rapidly, driven by high internet use, digital payments and fast delivery expectations.
Free zones offer full foreign ownership and simplified setup, which appeals to international companies entering the region through e-commerce.
Startups UAE lists Dubai CommerCity among Dubai's free zones.
