About Dubai Fixit
When a tenant in Dubai hands back an apartment, the condition of the walls often decides how much of the security deposit comes back. Dubai Fixit has built its business around this moment. The company, founded by Mazhar Ghouri and based in Burlington Tower in Business Bay, is a painting specialist rather than a general handyman service, despite what its name might suggest.
Move-out painting is its headline service. The team repairs nail holes and the moisture damage that air conditioning often leaves on walls, then repaints in the standard off-white shades that landlords and developers expect at handover. The company says it works to the handover standards of major Dubai agencies and offers community-specific colour matching for areas such as The Springs, The Meadows, JVC and Arabian Ranches.
Its work goes well beyond rental units. Dubai Fixit paints high-rise apartments in Dubai Marina, JLT and Downtown, handling building gate passes and floor protection. It also takes on villa interiors and exteriors with scaffolding and crack repair, office painting scheduled after hours and at weekends, industrial-grade epoxy coatings for garages and warehouses in areas like Al Quoz and DIP, and sanding and refinishing of wooden doors.
A recurring theme on its website is preparation. Every job starts with crack repair, mould treatment and a moisture-sealing primer before the top coats go on, and the company uses Jotun paints, including anti-fungal and low-VOC options suited to the UAE's humidity and heat. At the time of writing, it advertises fixed prices starting from AED 450 for a studio.
The business was established in 2009 and has a team of 16 to 25 people, with supervisors specialising in move-out jobs, exterior and commercial work, and wood finishes.
For tenants racing a move-out deadline or landlords preparing a unit for the next lease, Dubai Fixit is one of the specialist painting companies listed on Startups UAE.
