About Edutech
Edutech is a Dubai-based company founded in 1991 that works at the intersection of education and technology. It provides technology solutions and support services to schools, universities and other educational institutions.
Education technology covers a wide range of tools and services. Schools use hardware such as computers, tablets and interactive displays, software for learning and administration, learning management systems, digital content and network infrastructure. Implementing these systems and keeping them running requires expertise.
Companies like Edutech help institutions choose, install and support technology. Services can include supplying equipment, setting up networks, integrating software, training teachers and staff, and providing ongoing technical support.
Teacher training is an important part of successful technology adoption. Even the best tools have limited impact if teachers are not confident using them, so providers often run training programmes and support teachers in integrating technology into lessons.
Digital transformation in education accelerated during the pandemic, when schools shifted to remote and hybrid learning. Many institutions invested heavily in devices, platforms and connectivity, and continued to use digital tools afterwards.
The UAE has a large and diverse education sector, with public schools, many private schools following different international curricula, and universities and colleges. Government strategies have emphasised smart learning and digital skills.
Education regulators in the UAE, such as the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai and the Ministry of Education, have encouraged innovation in teaching and learning.
The education technology market includes global technology companies, regional distributors and specialist edtech providers.
With more than three decades in the sector, Edutech is one of the longer-established education technology companies in Dubai, and Startups UAE lists it among the UAE's edtech service providers.
Its own website lists the services it currently offers to schools.
