About Expo City Dubai

Expo City Dubai is the district that took over the site of Expo 2020 Dubai, the World Expo held from October 2021 to March 2022. After the event, the site was transformed into a permanent community.

The city retains several Expo landmarks, including Al Wasl Plaza with its dome, Terra, the sustainability pavilion, and Alif, the mobility pavilion, which are open to visitors. Garden in the Sky, an observation tower, offers views of the area.

The Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City hosts large events and expanded the city's capacity for exhibitions and conferences. Expo City also hosted COP28, the United Nations climate conference, in 2023.

The district includes offices, residential communities, schools and green spaces, designed with sustainability in mind.

Companies have set up offices in Expo City, attracted by its modern infrastructure and location near Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai South.

The site is connected to the rest of Dubai by the Dubai Metro Route 2020 line.
