About in5
in5 is a startup incubator in Dubai, launched in 2013 by TECOM Group, the company behind business districts such as Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Design District.
The incubator runs centres focused on different sectors: technology at Dubai Internet City, media at Dubai Media City, design at Dubai Design District and science at Dubai Science Park. Each gives founders workspace, licences and a community suited to their field.
Its main appeal for early-stage founders is a low-cost way to start. in5 offers subsidised workspace and business licences, along with mentoring, workshops, legal and accounting support, and access to investors through demo days and networking events.
Many well-known UAE startups have passed through in5 in their early days, which has given it a strong reputation in the local ecosystem.
Being part of TECOM's business parks means in5 startups are located near large companies that could become customers, partners or investors.
For founders, choosing an incubator often depends on sector, cost, the strength of the mentor network and the companies around them.
Startups UAE lists in5 among Dubai's leading startup incubators.
