About Smart Salem
Smart Salem operates medical fitness centres in Dubai where residents complete the health screening required for residency visas. It was introduced to make this mandatory step faster and more convenient.
Anyone applying for or renewing a UAE residence visa in Dubai must pass a medical fitness test, which typically includes a blood test and a chest X-ray to screen for certain infectious diseases. The results are linked electronically to the visa application.
Smart Salem centres are designed around speed and convenience. Many processes are digital, from booking and registration to sending results, and premium options promise very quick turnaround.
Centres are located in convenient places such as business districts and malls, with extended hours that suit working people.
The service is part of a wider move by Dubai government entities to digitise procedures and reduce waiting times for residents and companies.
For businesses processing many employee visas, faster medical screening helps new staff start work sooner.
Startups UAE lists Smart Salem among Dubai's healthcare and government service providers.
