About Area 2071
Area 2071 is an innovation hub created by the Dubai Future Foundation. It brings together startups, government entities, corporations, investors and researchers in one space to work on ideas that shape the future.
The name refers to the UAE Centennial 2071, a long-term national vision marking 100 years since the country's founding in 1971.
The hub offers co-working spaces, offices and event venues, along with programmes that connect startups with government departments and large companies looking for new solutions.
A key programme associated with the Dubai Future Foundation is Dubai Future Accelerators, which pairs startups with government entities to develop and test solutions to specific challenges, often leading to pilot projects and contracts.
Area 2071 hosts events, workshops and talks on topics such as artificial intelligence, mobility, health, energy and the future of government.
The Dubai Future Foundation also runs the Museum of the Future and other initiatives designed to position Dubai as a city that experiments with emerging technologies.
Startups UAE lists Area 2071 among Dubai's startup and innovation hubs.
